About

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free via slopes with varying degrees of gradient.
  • There is step-free access to all areas of the building.
  • Matchbox has 2 entrances, both providing step-free access via slopes of varying gradients.
  • The accessible entrance is signed as Accessible Entrance, and the main entrance is not signed.
  • The Accessible Entrance gives direct access to the gym on floor 1 which provides step-free access to the rest of the building via the elevator. .
  • The main entrance has sloped access with automatic doors.

Getting Around

  • It is possible to bypass all steps once inside the building by using the elevator meaning that there is step-free level access throughout the building.
  • Floor surfaces along circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish, whilst others are carpeted and smooth.
  • There are resting areas in some circulation areas with a mixture of seating.
  • Wayfinding signage and floor plans are provided in circulation routes and elevators to assist people in finding their way around.
