Getting Inside

  • The approach to the apartments is step-free via 2 sloped pathways of varying degrees of gradient.
  • There is stepped access to all areas once inside the apartments.
  • Crum Ledge has 8 entrances (1 for each apartment). All 8 entrances provide step-free access via slopes of varying degrees of gradient; however, once inside the door, there are steps.
  • The entrances are signed as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
  • The Crum Ledge 1 entrance gives direct access to the stairway in the house, which provides stepped access to floors 1 and 2.
  • Crum Ledge 2-8 entrances have a manual door at the entrances.

Getting Around

  • It is not possible to bypass the stairway once inside the apartments.
  • Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
