About

Getting Inside

  • The accessible entrance is located off McCosh Walk.
  • Whig Hall has 2 entrances, 1 entrance provides step-free level access.
  • The rear accessible entrance is signed as Whig Hall and also has an accessibility Symbol. There is signage at front of the building directing people to the rear of the building for step free access.
    The main stepped entrance is signed as Whig Hall - The American Whig-Cliosophic Society.
  • The accessible entrance gives access to level G and the elevator which provides step-free access to levels 1, 2 and 3.
  • The main entrance is stepped and has manual double doors.

Getting Around

  • There is level access to all levels of the building via elevator.
    Access to the Madison Room is only available via the Senate Chamber balcony.
  • There is a slope to access the raised section of the Senate Chamber on level 2 bypassing the steps.
  • The majority of the flooring is carpeted with some hard and smooth areas with shiny finishes.
  • There are resting areas on levels G and 1.
