About

  • The nearest University owned parking garage is the Theater Drive Garage.

  • McCosh is a medium size building with 3 floors. The building formerly housed the Health Center but now houses Health Professions Advising and staff of the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students.
  • There is 1 elevator and 2 stairways within the building.
  • The floor names are signed as G, 1, 2, and 3. Currently only the first floor is in use.

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free via a slope with a gradient less than 5%.
  • McCosh Health Center has 2 entrances. The main entrance provides step-free sloped access (accessible entrance).
  • The accessible entrance gives direct access to the lobby and the elevator on the first floor, which provides step-free access to the *garden level, second and third floor. *The garden level, second, and third floor are currently unavailable.
  • The staff entrance has sloped and stepped access, with direct access into stairway C.
    Then there is a further door to access the first floor of the center.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access via elevator throughout the building.
  • Floor surfaces along the majority of circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
    There is short pile carpeted flooring on the garden floor.
  • There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
  • Wayfinding signage and floor plans are provided in the circulation routes, but there is no signage in the reception lobby.

Restrooms and Changing Facilities Available
