Access To
- Room 008 is accessed on level LL of the Friend Center, to the right as you exit the elevator.
- View information on Friend Center (opens new tab) .
- The most accessible route has step-free level access and an elevator.
- There is step-free level access to enter.
- There is Braille, tactile and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door to enter opens outwards and has a low color contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The door requires effort to open.
- The width of the door opening is 2ft 8.68in (83cm).
- There is an identical alternative entrance available, to the left as you exit the elevator.
Room
- There is step-free level access in this area.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn (5ft x 5ft - 152.5cm x 152.5cm).
- There are chairs without armrests and fixed desks in this area.
- The tables are at a suitable height for wheelchair users.
- There is tiered seating with a handrail on the left going up the ramp.
- There is step-free access via ramp to the speaker's area.
- The height of the speaker's desk is 2ft 3in (69cm).
- The height of the lectern is 3ft 7in (109cm).
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
- There are also steps with a handrail on the right to access the tiered seating.
