About

Getting Inside

    The other entrances have stepped access. These are signed as 5, 7, 8 and 25A.
    All entrances have manual doors.
  • The accessible entrance at the front of the building provides step-free and level access into the building.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free access throughout the building via the elevator, however there are ramps to access some of the dorms on floors 2 and 3.
    Ramps on floor 2 have gradients between 7.5 and 13%.
    Ramps on floor 3 have gradients of 14%.
  • There is a ramp with a gradient of 8.5% handrails on both sides and a width of 140cm to access seating areas on floor 1. This ramp also forms part of the longer route from the main entrance to the lounge.
    This ramp bypasses a set of 3 7in (17cm) steps with handrails on both sides.
    There is also another set of 3 7in (17cm) steps with handrails on both side leading directly between the main entrance lobby and the living room on floor 1 which this ramp also bypasses.
  • Floor surfaces along some of the circulation routes are hard and smooth, of which some have a shiny finish.
    The other circulation routes have flooring of soft carpet.
  • There are resting areas in the lobby to the main building, however there are no resting areas in the circulation.
  • Wayfinding signage is provided in some of the circulation routes, however there are no floor plans.
