Overview

  • About View
    • WonderLab is a family-focused science museum with interactive exhibits and programs that stimulate curiosity, encourage discovery and inspire lifelong learning. WonderLab ignites a love of science through learning that is experiential, inclusive and fun, and amplifies the role science plays in the world.
    • Services available in the venue include: a wide range of science exhibits that encourage exploration, learning, spark curiosity and delight the imagination.

    • There is step-free level access at the most accessible entrance.

    • Pulley Chairs exhibit to sit and pull yourself upward with a rope pull (22 in. high seats).
    • The "Bubble Domes", "Bubble Wall", foam fountain, and "Big Bubble" exhibits.
    • A hand wash station near the bubbles.
    • The "Science Sprouts Place" gated play area for children 3 years of age and under (gate is 33 in. wide with a slide lock). The area features "Wiggle Woods" baby and toddler climbing area, a large baby "busy board" and bench seating, and a curtained nursing/lactation area..

    • The "Air Maze" exhibit.

Lactation Space - 1st fl. within Science Sprouts Place

Locker and Cloakroom Area

    • The female multiple-stall restroom is the first door opening on the left and the male multiple-stall restroom described here is the second door opening on the left.
    • Neither opening has a door but rather an entry hallway that shields the restroom from view.
    • The features in the male and female restrooms are the same except the female restroom has a right hand transfer toilet and no urinals.
    • The first floor male and female restroom corridor also contains the locker room area.

    • "Frozen Shadows" and "Colored Shadows" exhibit (this exhibit contains strobe lights, enter with caution). The entrance is 36 in. wide with a sliding curtain.
    • The "Under the Waves" exhibit
    • "The Micro Eye"
    • Seating in this area includes bench seating at 19.5 in. high and stools at 17 in. high
    • The majority of tables in this area are suitable for wheelchair users.
    • There is also a small vending and eating area on this level (see Snack Area section of this guide).

Snack Area

  • Location and Access View
    • The snack area is located on the second floor at the left rear.

    • The type of food served here is from vending machines only, including drinks and snack foods.

Lab Rooms A, B and C

    • The room surveyed is approximately 91.86352ft (28m) from the the 2nd floor elevator exit.
    • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and manual doors.
    • The room's signage is on the wall (on the latch side).
    • There is Braille, tactile and written text signage on or near the entrance.
    • There is step-free level access to enter.
    • Lab Rooms A, B and C can be divided using sliding divider walls to create three separate rooms, or opened to create one large space. These rooms are used for teaching, educational programming and demonstrations, and may be individually reserved for events such as birthday parties.
    • There are double manual doors to enter the room.
    • The doors have a high visual contrast.
