The Hoosier House is a LEED-certified building built in 2012 and featuring 4 ADA accessible rooms. - Services available in the venue include: free WiFi, free parking, free EV charging, and full breakfast (included).

Accessible Parking Spaces

- There are three parking lot options at the Grant Street Inn: the main parking lot, which is directly north of the main building and guest registration; the overflow parking lot, which is behind the main parking lot and continues around the adjacent Dargan House building; and the Hoosier House parking lot. The designated accessible parking spaces are in the overflow lot and the Hoosier House lot.

- Overflow lot: The van accessible space in the overflow lot is 10 ft. 2 in. wide and the adjacent marked access aisle is 9 ft. 5 in. wide. This space is not signposted. The overflow lot entrance is located behind the Buttercup Cottage and extends all the way to the corner of 8th and Grant St.
Once you enter the lot, the ADA space is all the way at the end and to the left, on the north side of the Dargan House. There is a ramp with a slight slope that leads from the parking space directly to Grant St. across from the Hoosier Houses.

Public Parking
View
- Guests staying in one of the ADA rooms in the Hoosier House should use the adjacent parking lot with the van-accessible parking space.
Guests staying in any of the other buildings may park in the van accessible space in the overflow lot, or call ahead to ask for the extra-wide parking space in the main parking lot to be reserved for them.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the main building, which is comprised of the Ziegler House and the Gilstrap House connected by a breezeway, and to the Hoosier House is step-free via ramps.
- There is also stepped access to these two buildings. The ramps bypass the steps.
Three additional buildings are only accessed via steps. - There are two separate entrances to the main building. The ramped entrance gives step-free access to the breezeway and the Gilstrap House side. The stepped entrance gives access to the Ziegler House side that contains the lobby and registration desk.
There are two entrances to Hoosier House. One entrance is stepped only, and the other can be accessed via ramp or steps. - The stepped entrance at the Ziegler House has the words, "Guest Registration" painted in black above the stairs on the porch fascia board.
- The most accessible entrances give access to the dining room in the breezeway and the guest rooms in the Gilstrap House, and to the entry hall of the Hoosier House.
- All other entrances to the Grant Street Inn buildings are stepped.
- The main building is comprised of the Ziegler House on the left, the Gilstrap House on the right, and the breezeway that connects the two buildings and also houses the dining room.
- To get to the registration desk in the Ziegler House portion, there are 3 steps.
- Staff regularly bring registration materials to the breezeway seating area for guests that cannot or prefer not to climb steps.
Getting Around
- The following areas have stepped access: the lobby and registration desk are accessed by three steps from the breezeway.
- Access throughout may include manual doors with doorknobs.
- The flooring is carpeted.
- The flooring is patterned in some areas.
